Protests that led to the cancellation of a Donald Trump rally in Chicago on Friday included at least one domestic terrorist and were in part orchestrated by MoveOn, a group of activists.

“This is what standing up to hate looks like,” MoveOn proclaimed after violence on the part of anti-Trump protesters led to the event’s cancellation.

“Mr. Trump and the Republican leaders who support him and his hate-filled rhetoric should be on notice after tonight’s events. These protests are a direct result of the violence that has occurred at Trump rallies and that has been encouraged by Trump himself from the stage,” the MoveOn statement said.

“To all of those who took to the streets of Chicago, we say thank you for standing up and saying enough is enough,” it added.

The statement also noted that the Chicago violence could be a prelude of worse acts to come.

“To Donald Trump, and the GOP, we say, welcome to the general election. Trump and those who peddle hate and incite violence have no place in our politics and most certainly do not belong in the White House,” the statement said.

The Chicago Tribune reported that almost since the moment Trump announced the Chicago rally a week ago, “groups were mobilizing, including securing free tickets to get into the University of Illinois-Chicago Pavilion either to attend and protest, or to prevent Trump supporters from gaining access to the arena, which seats nearly 10,000.”

Amid the crowd whipped up by MoveOn was Bill Ayers, who during his days as a leader in the Weather Underground movement in the 1970s, participated in bombing at a New York City police headquarters.

“Barack Obama started his political career in Bill Ayers’ living room,” wrote Jim Hoft on The Gateway Pundit.
